The Presidential Gallery of the Eisenhower Museum is devoted to Dwight Eisenhower's career from the end of World War II in 1945 to his death in 1969. Within this period, Eisenhower retired from the Army, became President of Columbia University, served as first Supreme Commander of NATO forces, was twice elected President of the United States, overcame several health problems, and wrote the memoirs of his presidency.
