“Big Red One” 1st Infantry Division
June 5 - dedicated to set-up and welcoming key guests and re-enactors. There will be a reception in the evening.
June 6 - the primary day of activities will kick off with a parade leading to the grounds of the Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum, followed by a performance from the Salina Symphony; static displays -- vintage and current military vehicles; and a two-part academic panel discussing WWII and subsequent conflicts.
June 6 - a dinner followed by a USO dance. We will also have the USO Liberty Bells performing WWII era songs.
June 7 - a remembrance ceremony, 10:30-11:30 a.m., and showing of movie, True Glory
